Sauvignon Blanc "Tendem", Languedoc, France

A smooth but very fresh Sauvignon Blanc from Bruno Andreu’s ‘Tendem’ range. It is full of mouth-watering green fruit, citrus notes and a little tropical fruit coming through on the finish.

 

Gentil, Meyer Fonne Reserve, Alscace, France

75CL BOTTLE £34

Meyer Fonne’s Gentil is a beautiful blend of aromatic Riesling and Muscat grapes along with Pinot Blanc and Gewurztraminer. It has a fresh winey aroma with smooth aromatics and the citrus lime character of the Riesling in the background. It works beautifully with seafood, smoked fish, and curry!

 

Falanghina 'Senete' , La Guardiense,  Italy

From one of Italy’s, if not the world’s, leading co-operative wineries. Packed with exotic Asian floral notes, stone fruit and almondy aroma, this wine has a freshness and saline quality on the finish which makes it fantastic with light summery dishes: salads, tomatoes, fish, pasta and rice dishes.

 

Gruner Veltliner, Ingrid Groiss, Austria

A superb, bone dry wine with green apple blossom, pear and quince flavours, a zippy citric Gruner veltliner grape heart and which should really be savoured but is far too drinkable. Beautifully pure on the steely mineral finish, more-ish and Certified organic since 2019. Tremendous Stuff!

RED WINE

Merlot "Tendem", Bruno Andreu Languedoc, France

Merlot ‘Tendem’ is soft, juicy and packed with rich supple dark fruit along with just a splash of black peppered spice. Very moreish and full of character. A lovely all rounder.

 

Primitivo 'Bocca Della Verita'  De Falco, Italy

Primitivo 'Bocca Della Verita' is a luscious, juice filled wine with ripe plum, damson and black cherry, balanced with sweet spice notes, finishing on mocha and coffee. Double aged in barrel and bottle. It is incredibly welcoming (like us!) with a long persistent finish. (like us!)

 

Rioja ‘Vendimia’ Bodegas Aldonia, Spain

A smooth slightly bold grenache Rioja which is packed full of currant & red fruits, rounded off with a touch of oak that distinguishes Rioja. Partners beautifully with our Venison of course, but is comfortable in good company & conversation.

 

Aglianico 'Janare' La Guardiense, Italy

Hints of chocolate, warm spices and ripe, smooth, red cherry fruit balance this bold juicy wine.  Beautifully expressive and elegant.  A really luscious Artisan wine.

 

Bordeaux, Chateau La Verriere Rouge, France

A  rather superb claret that combines all the old world charm of the region with modern wine making techniques. Cherry, blackberry, juicy raspberry and toasty notes from the barrel ageing. It is silky, expressive and impressive on the finish.

Even though light in style, this pale pink rosé wine made from 100% Syrah/Shiraz grape is full of fragrant summer fruit & strawberry flavours with a soft chalky mineral finish…oh and it comes in a fabulous glass corked bottle, made for photos!

Chardonnay & Pinot grapes aged and blended 'Methode Champenoise' with a second fermentation taking place in bottle. This creates in a fruity, bright, aromatic fizz, biscuitty notes and a smooth lasting cream finish.
