Destination Diabaig....  Seasonal Cafe & Restaurant at the End of the Road ...

OPENING TIMES HERE

Welcome to the Gille Brighde...

A tiny lochside hamlet, set upon a backdrop of rugged crags and cliffs, with it's glittering loch, horseshoe bay and jaunty little pier, and acres of Wild West Scotland to explore –
it is quite simply one of those spots which make any visit to Scotland so worthwhile.

The road to (and from) Lower Diabaig from Torridon is a winding climb through moors and lochans, passing above and around the villages of Inveralligin and Alligin Shuas, before climbing steeply and dramatically inland. Here you will cross the Bealach na Gaoithe, ('pass of the winds'  yes really!), enjoy incredible views over Upper Loch Torridon towards Ben Damph and Coulin Forests.

The road then curves down to Upper Diabaig and finally into Lower Diabaig itself.

A journey worth taking for it’s own sake but we think there is another reason to come visit this special place.

We have decided to make this place our home and  our lifestyle business.
We would like to share with you some warm friendly hospitality and food that really does help make the journey memorable.
A taste of local, sustainable and exceptional local produce, served with a little creativity and imagination....

We are very dog friendly, well behaved dogs are welcome to come into the restaurant, subject to availability,

we also have a lovely large garden area for them (and you) to sit in and watch the world go by.

Diabaig is a crofting village and there are sheep with the right to roam -

please make sure your dogs are under your close control at all times.

The road to Diabaig is not suitable for large motorhomes or caravans.

Please be aware there are no public toilets in facilities in Diabaig.

(We do have a toilet within the restaurant however it's priority is for customers use and only when we are open)
Always dispose of your waste, human and pet,  at appropriate disposal sites - bag it and bin it.

Keep us all clean... Thank you
